Electrolux Group is looking for a Laboratory Manager in Rayong, Thailand to lead the R&D Laboratory team focused on testing food preservation products. This role involves ensuring compliance, managing facilities and equipment, and recommending solutions for product improvement. The ideal candidate has a university degree in Engineering and over 10 years of experience in product development and laboratory management.

Responsibilities

Lead the R&D Laboratory team responsible for testing food preservation products (refrigerators) and their components against internal and external standards.
Support the development of innovative products by conducting tests, analyzing results, and recommending solutions to resolve technical issues and enhance product performance.
Ensure compliance to product safety & performance requirements.
Produce written laboratory test reports for all tests undertaken.
Ensure efficient utilization of the laboratory facilities.
Maintain the equipment in the R&D laboratory.
Maintain and improve the process and procedures in the laboratory.
Ensure functional and reliability tests according Electrolux test specifications and procedures.
Carry out the responsibilities as outlined in the OH&S Responsibilities Manual and have the authority to take the action required to maintain a safe workplace.

Requirements

University Degree in Engineering
10+ years of experience in Product Development/R&D, covering design, development, and testing activities, ideally in the appliances industry
Solid experience managing laboratory operations and testing capabilities
Strong leadership and people management skills
Experience setting up and operating testing laboratories to international and local standards
Results-driven with strong project execution and delivery capabilities
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate test outcomes into product improvements
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures
Proficient in English
