Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with radar installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault-finding.
- Maintain and service ground-based surface radars as part of the FSR team.
- Contribute to meeting customers’ contractual agreements.
- Support site preparation, equipment installation, cabling, configuration, and system checks.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive-maintenance activities under supervision.
- Assist with radar calibration, alignment, functional testing, and performance verification.
- Learn to use radar-specific test equipment, diagnostic tools, and service software.
- Perform basic electrical, electronic, RF, mechanical, and network checks under guidance.
- Follow troubleshooting procedures and assist in identifying equipment faults.
- Replace approved field-replaceable components when trained and authorized.
- Accurately record measurements, observations, faults, and corrective actions.
- Assist with Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and customer demonstrations.
- Support the preparation of service reports, test documentation, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with the logistics team regarding spares, inventory management, and parts flow.
Requirements
- UAE National
- Minimum 2 weeks National Service completed
- Driver’s license
- Ability to express yourself in English, both oral and written
- Approved in a security vetting in accordance to ISO:27001+
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred graduated Bachelor (or similar) student with an interest in field service of military systems.
- Education within power electronics, software and/or computer engineering is preferred, but not essential.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn.
- A methodical approach to problem solving.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow technical procedures.
- Willingness to ask questions and seek guidance.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
