Emerson is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Mechanic in Chanhassen, MN to operate and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment. The role involves responding to emergencies, installing new equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting issues using a CMMS. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, four years of industrial HVAC experience, and EPA 608 Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain all heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and controls.
  • Respond to emergency requests to eliminate unsafe or inefficient conditions.
  • Install new equipment and modify existing equipment to maintain humidity or temperature levels.
  • Provide chemical control to chiller and boiler water for efficient operation.
  • Utilize a preventive maintenance program to maintain HVAC equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and make recommendations for replacement or redesign.
  • Perform tests to monitor and report contamination levels of HVAC systems or waste.
  • Use facility Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document all maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
  • Four (4) or more years of industrial HVAC experience
  • EPA 608 Certification
  • Ability to push, pull, or lift over 50 pounds
  • Ability to travel between Twin Cities facilities as needed (Shakopee, Chanhassen, and Eden Prairie)
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Desired Qualifications

  • HVAC Degree or certificate
  • Holds a valid Minnesota First Class "C" Boilers License or higher
