This executive role as Head - Finance Shared Services India, based in Pune, reports to the CFO India and Global Head of Finance Shared Services. The position requires leading financial accounting, reporting, audit, procure-to-pay operations, treasury, and ERP transformation (D365) for Alfa Laval India, focusing on service delivery excellence, simplification, standardization, and governance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly financial reporting and ensure adherence to monthly closing timelines.
- Strengthen governance and internal controls over financial reporting processes.
- Ensure accurate books of account and compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and group policies.
- Lead end-to-end Accounts Payable operations and drive implementation of the Medius tool.
- Monitor compliance with travel and expense policies and implement controls.
- Ensure optimum investment of funds, track and project cash flow, and manage banking relationships.
- Act as Finance Process Owner for ERP implementation, leading process harmonization and transformation.
- Drive implementation of global initiatives, automation, and digitization projects.
- Map end-to-end processes, mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to policies and authority matrix.
- Partner with business finance teams and leadership, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing finance shared services team.
Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- 15-20 years of experience
- At least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proficient in accounting (IFRS, India GAAP) and strong process knowledge
- Working knowledge of India company law and taxation laws
- Hands-on experience with statutory audit and financial reporting
- Experience of leading a shared service organization is recommended
- Go-getter attitude, willingness and ability to challenge the status quo and improve ways of working
- Ruthless focus on integrity, controls and compliance
- Ability to collaborate and work in sync with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to form and assertively put forward a point of view
- An eye for detail
- High degree of ownership and accountability
