This is a temporary Graduate Apprentice Trainee role at Volvo Group in Hosakote, India, under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). The 1-year program offers practical, hands-on On-the-Job Training (OJT) for engineering graduates in Mechanical, Automobile, or Industrial Engineering disciplines, focusing on industrial processes and design.

Responsibilities

Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Local Assembly Instructions.
Participate in line balancing studies to optimize manpower utilization and meet production targets.
Layout design for new variants, new parts, coordinating with the Production team.
Define tooling, fixtures, and lifting devices for new axle variants.
Support CAD layout preparation for axle assembly facilities.
Participate in coordinating cross-functional activities to map project activities.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
CAD Layout Development skills.
Process Mapping & Workflow Design skills.
Knowledge of Digital Manufacturing Systems.
Ability for Cross-functional collaboration.
Continuous improvement mindset.
