This role leads Arla’s global Quality & Food Safety agenda, influencing strategy and managing a team of specialists within Global Supply Chain. The successful candidate will drive food safety development, manage quality systems, and collaborate across global functions to ensure high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of nine specialists.
  • Drive and govern global quality and food safety development programmes.
  • Ensure the team leads global QEHS working groups (Food Safety, Certifications, Laboratories, IT systems, QEHS Targets).
  • Act as a senior specialist and key partner to internal functions and external stakeholders (laboratories, certification bodies, suppliers).
  • Ensure high standards of governance, compliance, and operational excellence in a global context.
  • Manage the QEHS Culture Survey, World Food Safety Day, and QEHS Learning Weeks.

Requirements

  • Experienced leader with strong people management skills.
  • Deep technical expertise, particularly within food safety.
  • Solid technical foundation in food science, microbiology, or a related discipline.
  • Substantial experience working with quality systems, compliance, and food safety governance.
  • Ability to navigate both strategic and hands-on challenges.
  • Clear communication and effortless collaboration across functions.
  • Experience in influencing at all levels within a global, complex organization.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
