As a Food Co-worker at IKEA in Sunrise, Florida, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food items, managing inventory, and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and customer service. This full-time, on-site role requires adherence to food safety and sustainability standards, with availability for evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept.
Adhere to food handling, health, and sustainability standards.
Respond to customer inquiries and process sales transactions accurately.
Maintain equipment operation and conduct cleaning maintenance.
Ensure a clean supply of dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils.
Manage the Swedish Food Market, including merchandising, pricing, and stock rotation.
Ensure accurate price communication across all food solutions.
Maintain supply rotation and stocking according to FIFO and expiration dates.
Implement IKEA Food policies for goods receiving and monthly inventory.
Adhere to safe food handling, workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
Contribute to an inclusive work environment that embraces IKEA culture.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years related experience.
Experience in a high-volume customer-facing environment preferred.
Experience in a high-volume retail environment with knowledge of basic merchandising and selling concepts preferred.
Food Handler Certification and/or Food Handler Card (as required by local jurisdiction) required within 30 days of employment.
