In short

As a Finisher at Alstom, you will perform fine detail assembly of mechanical, structural, and electrical components according to company specifications and engineering drawings. This role involves operating various machinery and ensuring product quality for commercial transport products.

Responsibilities

Perform fine detail assembly of mechanical, structural, and electrical components.
Interpret engineering drawings and methods instructional sheets.
Check installations, correct snags, and adjust doors.
Rivet and assemble sheet metal, tubing, bars, and extrusions.
Install decals on mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies.
Operate portable spot welder, upright drills, sanders, grinders, deburring machines, drill sharpener, and routers.
Potentially operate Rolls, Robot (plasma burning only), or Corner Cropper.
Clean commercial products, including washing and applying cleaning compounds.
Assist other operators as needed.

Requirements

Capable of fine detail assembly of mechanical, structural and electrical components.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and methods instructional sheets.
Ability to check installations, correct snags, and adjust doors.
Must be able to rivet and assemble sheet metal, tubing, bars and extrusions.
Experience installing decals on mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies.
May be required to operate portable spot welder.
Experience with upright drills, sanders, grinder, deburring machines, drill sharpener and routers.
May be required to operate Rolls, Robot (plasma burning only) or Corner Cropper.
Ability to clean commercial products.
