ABB seeks a Financial Analyst and Project Controller in Beijing for a full-time, fixed-term position. This role involves managing project controlling activities (60-70%) and product cost controlling (30-40%), requiring strong analytical, financial, and ERP system skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess project financial and operational risks, developing mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, monitor spending, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Prepare comprehensive project financial reports and escalate critical issues.
  • Lead yearly product cost planning, calculate OH/labor rates, and update full cost models.
  • Review and validate product standard costs, track changes, and ensure cost accuracy.
  • Recommend and implement cost reduction strategies and value engineering initiatives.
  • Monitor and control supplier costs and negotiate contracts.
  • Maintain accurate product cost records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare regular product cost reports and variance analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in production cost control and/or project financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, cost accounting, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in Excel, financial software, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or similar credential is a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise systems.
  • Experience with project management software.
