ABB is seeking a Senior DTO Engineer in Xiamen, China, to act as a design authority for engineering disciplines. This full-time, on-site role involves coordinating customized project designs, managing non-standard orders, and supporting trail production. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and proven experience in the medium voltage circuit breaker and switchgear industry, with proficiency in relevant engineering software.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate customized project design, verification, industrialization, and project management.
  • Manage non-standard order review and order-BOM (Bill of Materials) from a technical perspective.
  • Lead DTO/ETO projects, coordinating between the DTO team and technical support/MU functions.
  • Support R&D ORRD design, verification, and industrialization, and manage relevant type tests.
  • Coordinate trail production, collect issues, and follow up on resolutions.
  • Manage industrialization-related systems like Windchill, T2P, RDS, PDN/EDN, and PMP.
  • Manage non-standard databases and coordinate report standardization for trail production.
  • Manage configurator settings for E2E, E-order, and e-config products in SAP.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Proven DTO/Product engineering experience in Medium Voltage Circuit Breaker and switchgear industry or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of medium voltage electrical products and applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mechanical drawing and electrical diagram) and specifications.
  • Understanding of electrical standards (IEC, GB, etc.).
  • Proficiency in engineering software (Windchill, SAP, PLM, CAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology for new project development.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent cross-functional/cross-departmental coordination skills.
  • Fluent in English written and verbal.
