As a Senior Process Development Engineer in Singapore, you will be responsible for developing, qualifying, and transferring new processes and materials for Chemical-Mechanical Planarization (CMP). This role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop new processes, materials, and manufacturing technologies.
- Ensure process readiness, manufacturability, and smooth ramp-up.
- Initiate and participate in process technology innovation and improvement discussions.
- Collaborate with technology partners to achieve project goals.
- Develop new ideas and solutions for product fabrication processes.
- Serve as a technology subject matter expert for manufacturing issues.
- Lead and/or co-work on new process recipes from concept to release.
- Define process requirements, DOE, and characterization plans.
- Drive root-cause analyses and improvement loops.
- Translate product requirements into process specifications.
- Work on technology transfer from pilot line to high-volume manufacturing.
- Lead technical discussions for onsite process transfer activities.
- Coordinate and report ramp performance tracking.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields).
- 3+ years of experience in Chemical Mechanical Planarization (Polishing) process engineering, process development, or as a process engineer in a high-volume manufacturing fab.
- Strong skills in DOE, SPC, data analytics, FMEA, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication, technical documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in semiconductor, MEMS, packaging, or high-volume manufacturing.
- Familiarity with yield engineering, reliability mechanisms, and failure analysis.
- Experience with scale-up from R&D → Pilot → HVM.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving (8D, DMAIC).
