In short
Responsibilities
- Off-load and inspect product.
- Place product in proper racks for continuous operation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area (5S).
- Assist in mill change-over processes.
- Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) of process and equipment.
- Coordinate daily and weekly activities with the department supervisor.
- Perform visual quality checks for straightness, galv integrity, and length.
- Collaborate with maintenance to resolve issues promptly.
- Focus on mill production efficiency, problem resolution, and cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience using special measuring devices, calipers, and tape measure.
- Ability to read part drawings for product inspections.
- Roll tooling experience with set-ups and changeovers.
- Demonstrated ability to meet negotiated time frames.
- Forklift certification/experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Good communication skills with coworkers.
- Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
- Ability to be a contributing team member for continuous improvement activities.
Benefits
- Weekend shift (Friday-Sunday, 5:00 am - 5:00 pm).
