Your role

This role leads a team of engineers focused on electromechanical systems, including active magnetic bearings and high-speed motor and generator technologies, applied to turboexpander and compressor products. You will drive the integration of these systems, guiding design and execution from concept through commercialization. The position combines hands-on technical leadership, system integration, and collaboration with engineering, suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders across the division and business area. 

The compensation range for this position is $137,843.78 - $191,319.34.00 annually. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus. What you will own/improve:

  • Lead a team of engineers in electromechanical product and system development 
  • Drive integration of active magnetic bearing and high-speed motor and generator systems into turbomachinery products 
  • Guide system level design, analysis, and validation across expander and compressor platforms 
  • Serve as a technical authority for electromechanical systems across the organization 
  • Translate technical direction into practical, actionable development steps 
  • Improve product performance, reliability, and integration of electromechanical systems 
  • Strengthen alignment between electromechanical development and overall product strategy

To succeed, you will need

What you already know:

  • You have a solid understanding of electromechanical systems, rotordynamics, or mechatronics principles 
  • Familiarity with active magnetic bearings, high-speed motor or generator systems, or similar technologies 
  • General knowledge of engineering analysis, system integration, and validation methods 
  • You're able to break down complex technical problems into clear, actionable steps 
  • You're able  to manage multiple tasks and priorities in an engineered to order environment 
  • You have strong communication skills with the ability to work across engineering, suppliers, marketing, and customers 
  • You are self motivated with a proactive, solution oriented mindset 
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, adapt, and continuously improve

 

Physical Requirements/Essential Functions: 

  • Work in both office and manufacturing environments 
  • Ability to stand, squat, and evaluate components as needed 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs
  • Occasional domestic and international travel
