Responsibilities
- Performs simple annotation-related tasks in ML data process areas (e.g., audio, image, video).
- Uses internal tools and software provided by the team.
- May participate in data collection activities.
- Applies language skills, grammar knowledge, and linguistic rules to generate clear and concise content.
- Performs quality audits and verification to maintain high internal quality.
- Meets daily productivity and quality targets.
- Tracks queries related to annotation/data collection and shares them with stakeholders.
- Tracks daily task completion status and provides individual status reports.
- Adheres to confidentiality & compliance requirements.
- Helps test new SOPs and ML data tools.
- Provides feedback to streamline processes and improve results.
- Offers remedial instruction in tool usage.
Requirements
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar, syntax, and vocabulary.
- Background in linguistics, creative writing, computational linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate and interpret data.
- Good familiarity with the Windows desktop environment and uses of Word, Excel, IE, Firefox etc.
- Flexibility and interest to do repetitive tasks.
- High level of energy and proactive nature.
- Sense of ownership and drive, and willingness to accept the challenge of daily deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Passion for language, technology, and AI advancements.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in written and spoken English and an ability to compose grammatically correct, concise and accurate written responses
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
