Responsibilities
- Design and develop electromechanical systems for semiconductor fabrication and packaging equipment.
- Integrate mechanical and electrical components for high-precision automation systems.
- Perform analysis and simulations for thermal, vibration, and electrical performance.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software, and process engineers).
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of prototypes and production systems.
- Ensure compliance with SEMI standards, cleanroom requirements.
- Support manufacturing and field service teams with technical expertise.
- Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and cost targets.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Manage project timelines and quality parameters.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business objectives and integrate design thinking into the product design process, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
- Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance on product design principles and methodologies, to deliver high-quality design solutions that meet project requirements.
- Present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders, effectively gathering feedback to refine and enhance design outcomes.
- Establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices in product design to ensure consistency and quality across all design efforts.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging insights to drive innovation and excellence in product design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 to 7 years of experience in electromechanical design and development.
- Proficient in 2D tolerance analysis (Worst case analysis).
- Hands-on experience in applying GD&T on designed parts.
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Experience with CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of additive manufacturing (3D printing).
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and DFM principles.
- Understanding of electrical components and wiring for mechanical systems.
- Understanding of EMI/EMC compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Root cause analysis and providing quick solutions to failures.
- Proven knowledge of Outline dimension drawing for PCBs.
- Proficiency in CAD/PLM tools - SolidWorks, Team Center.
- Strong knowledge of motors, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
- Experience with prototyping, testing, and failure analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication (Verbal and Written) and teamwork abilities.
- Hands-on experience with ECO/ECN activities.
- Solid understanding of product design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
- Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (Dfma) principles.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (Gd&T) techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in Solidworks, DFM, GD&T, Sheetmetal.
