Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Data Center Technician for its Infrastructure Operations team in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This on-site, full-time role involves troubleshooting and maintaining servers, storage, and networking hardware on a 24/7 basis, ensuring high system reliability. The position requires experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot technical issues on advanced hardware, including servers, storage, and networking devices on a 24/7 basis.
Maintain a high level of system reliability and availability.
Participate in projects to enhance operational efficiencies.
Share knowledge and help train less technical staff on best practices.
Contribute towards building a great team by getting involved in the Amazon hiring process/candidate interviews.
Installation and configurations on Data center Servers and Network systems.
Installation, troubleshooting, and replacement of internal and external hardware parts of Servers and Network devices.
Work within a ticket-based environment and work on systematic problem resolution.
Work on rotational shift-based schedule to maintain high system reliability.
Collaborate with internal teams and share ideas and contribute in innovative projects to improve DC work environment and overall efficiencies.
Physically active role requiring movement onsite.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Desired Qualifications

Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
