AWS Infrastructure Services seeks a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician in Västerås, Sweden. This role involves operating and maintaining critical electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and safety systems to ensure high uptime for AWS data centers. You will monitor systems, assist with equipment deployment, and respond to critical events.

Responsibilities

Assist in the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, and HVAC equipment.
Maintain and monitor all Data Center systems, including incidents, events, problems, changes, and escalations.
Monitor and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, voice/data, cooling systems, fire/life safety equipment, and generators.
Assist contractors or data center engineers in ensuring proper operation and maintenance of facility equipment.
Provide assistance for deploying new equipment, such as building racks and cabling.
Perform site walk-throughs to verify proper operation of Facility Equipment and Monitoring Systems.
Act as a Facilities First Responder to critical events.
Support new data center facilities and existing data center facilities.
Monitor all alarms and systems for power, cooling, and fire suppression.
Plan and coordinate vendor works on site.
Support other sites and teams during events and planned works.
Carry out rack power up and installation duties.
Monitor and facilitate new equipment handover.
Support new hires and team members through knowledge share and development.
Participate in event response and drills.

Requirements

Electrical, mechanical or instrumentation training and/or relevant experience
2+ years of relevant work experience
Strong English verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications

Experience in data center engineering
Driving license
