Responsibilities
- Develop basic knowledge of industry trends, competitors' products, customer experience, and advances in various engineering fields.
- Assist in creating and executing robust, scalable, secure, and extensible designs and/or verification plans for electrical engineering aspects.
- Participate in creating intellectual property and may file patents.
- Implement known solutions to common technical and/or design challenges.
- Read device specification sheets and interpret common details for hardware design and testing.
- Develop design documentation including drawings, specifications, schematics, or diagrams.
- Review supplier or partner technical sheets and choose appropriate parts.
- Ensure test requirements are included in documentation and specifications.
- Determine appropriate test equipment for measuring product features.
- Write design verification test cases using standard templates and methodologies.
- Develop, review, and execute test plans and/or infrastructure.
- Assist in developing automated testing solutions and conduct automated testing.
- Gather data for external testing supplier or partner selection.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down testing environments, following safety guidelines.
- Participate in the development of dashboards or reports for testing and quality metrics.
- Analyze and interpret data and statistical analyses to identify common problems.
- Assist in the development of basic test fixtures.
- Follow project implementation schedules to deliver hardware engineering aspects.
- Implement and track product plans.
- Highlight potential issues affecting downstream project execution.
- Research new tools, technologies, or processes for project implementation.
- Assist in implementing risk assessments into project plans.
- Communicate project progress/status and escalate issues.
- Participate in creating detailed reports and functional specifications.
- Document essential details about materials, components, and/or assemblies.
- Accurately record and track changes to designs.
Requirements
- High School Qualification or equivalent AND 2+ years experience supporting IT equipment or related technology or delivering server and network deployment projects in large-scale environments OR equivalent experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of technical engineering experience
- OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
- 6+ years of technical engineering experience
- OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience
- OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field AND 1+ year(s) of technical engineering experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

- Competitive base pay range (USD $102,100 - $202,200) with higher ranges in specific locations like San Francisco Bay Area and New York City.
