Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee data center projects, manage budgets, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. This on-site, full-time role requires a Bachelor's degree and extensive experience in construction project management, with a focus on driving results and collaborating with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage project budgets, including PERs, PSRs, Change Orders, and Pay Applications.
- Partner with stakeholders to implement process improvements that increase cost savings and efficiency.
- Attend project meetings and advise on construction-related matters.
- Facilitate project delivery through timely, data-based decisions and by championing team goals.
- Identify and implement cost-effective solutions for project delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to align with corporate vision and goals.
- Oversee procurement activities for resources and materials to ensure timely project completion within budget.
- Drive campus-based delivery solutions for data center facilities.
- Create and report on project progress regarding scope, schedule, standards, and budget.
- Communicate risk mitigation goals and develop metrics to track progress.
- Represent Microsoft as a safety leader, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Review engineering documentation and site plans to identify and mitigate risks.
- Advise and monitor vendor and contractor performance, ensuring contract compliance.
- Review and approve vendor scope of work, design reviews, pay applications, and invoices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related experience, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years experience working on data center projects.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
