Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Construction Project Management IC5 to lead datacenter construction projects. This role involves strategic planning, stakeholder management, and ensuring project milestones are met with a focus on safety, security, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive coordination for meetings and activities with project stakeholders.
  • Influence and provide direction and coaching to internal and external partners.
  • Lead the delivery of EPC plans, including timelines and resource allocation to guide the execution of datacenter construction projects.
  • Manage and integrate cross-functional teams, including engineers, procurement, and construction.
  • Develop and lead planning and scheduling standards and process.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across EPC and partnering groups.
  • Continuously improve project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and oversee continuous improvement of detailed project plans, including timelines, and resource requirements, for large-scale datacenter construction projects.
  • Monitor project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
  • Work with clients to understand their needs and ensure project outcomes meet their expectations.
  • Proactively manage multiple project schedules simultaneously, ensuring that each project meets its objectives and is delivered on time.
  • Provide integrated planning input to support project funding and approvals processes.
  • Provide regular project updates to management and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years experience working on data center projects.

Benefits

  • The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year.
  • There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
