We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer in Shanghai to commission products and systems on new-building ships, primarily in China Mainland. Responsibilities include inspection, service, troubleshooting, training shipcrew and shipyard staff, completing reports, and providing sales support. A Marine Engineering background with strong electrical and mechanical skills is required.

Responsibilities

  • Commissioning of products and systems on new-building ships, including high speed separator, fresh water generator, fuel conditioning module, and ballast water treatment system.
  • Inspection, service, and troubleshooting tasks on products and systems.
  • Investigative activities related to commissioning and onboard service jobs.
  • Training of shipcrew and shipyard staff during commissioning and onboard voyages.
  • Completion of required company reports.
  • Sales-support activities, including quotations and customer/job acquisition.

Requirements

  • Marine Engineering background with good hands-on electrical and mechanical technical skills.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Marine Engineer preferred.
  • Knowledge of high speed separators, including mechanism, control systems, and components preferred.
  • Fluent in oral and written English preferred.
  • Experience in coordination and planning of a mobile work force.
  • Familiarity with common Microsoft products.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within China.

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Marine Engineering and/or sailing experience as Electrical Officer is acceptable.
  • Flexible, can-do, and will-do attitude.

  • Independent and situational.
