Responsibilities

Support the Com&In team in delivering high-quality carpentry and paintwork throughout the store.
Use carpentry and craftsmanship skills to create, maintain, and improve store solutions and visual presentations.
Support the presentation of the IKEA range in line with IKEA's visual identity and home furnishing principles.
Prioritise and complete work based on store needs while minimising disruption to customers and co-workers.
Execute agreed Com&In and store action plans with a sense of urgency and strong attention to detail.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Plan and order the required materials and resources and ensure costs are accurate and agreed.
Use materials and resources responsibly by reducing waste, reusing and recycling wherever possible.
Stay up to date with carpentry techniques, best practices, and new ways of working to improve quality and efficiency.
Work collaboratively with the Com&In team and other store functions to create a strong visual impression and an inspiring shopping experience for customers.

Requirements

Passion for carpentry, craftsmanship, home furnishing, and creating high-quality solutions.
Good knowledge and practical experience in carpentry, painting, and related craftsmanship.
Understanding of how good presentation and attention to detail can enhance the customer experience.
Ability to combine practical, aesthetic, and commercial thinking to create effective store solutions.
Confidence in communicating and working together with people from different teams and backgrounds.
Flexible, hands-on approach and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
Safety-conscious and always follow safe working practices.
Cost-conscious and understanding the importance of using materials and resources responsibly.
Curious and motivated to continuously develop knowledge, skills, and ways of working.
