Responsibilities
- Supervise installation and erection activities of crushing, screening, washing, conveying, and material handling equipment.
- Ensure proper alignment, levelling, and assembly of mechanical structures, crushers, screens, feeders, conveyors, chutes, bins, and auxiliary systems.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and mechanical contractors for smooth project execution.
- Verify equipment installation as per engineering drawings, GA layouts, OEM guidelines, and quality standards.
- Monitor erection progress and provide daily site updates.
- Conduct pre-commissioning inspections and readiness checks.
- Execute no-load and load trials of crushing and screening plants.
- Commission electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, MCCs, instrumentation, and safety interlocks.
- Optimize plant performance to achieve design capacity, product quality, and operational efficiency.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and process-related issues during commissioning.
- Ensure successful performance testing and plant handover to customers.
- Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, procurement teams, vendors, and customers.
- Ensure availability of tools, manpower, and site resources.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking.
- Monitor work progress against project timelines and escalate risks proactively.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and customer safety regulations.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings at project sites.
- Verify adherence to installation quality standards and commissioning procedures.
- Ensure all work permits and safety documentation are maintained.
- Prepare installation and commissioning reports.
- Maintain punch point lists and closure reports.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Prepare handover documents, equipment checklists, and customer acceptance certificates.
- Record lessons learned and provide feedback to engineering teams.
- Provide operator and maintenance staff training during project handover.
- Support customers during plant stabilization period.
- Attend breakdowns and resolve technical issues during warranty periods.
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
