Seeking an Assistant General Manager/ General Manager for the Legal team in Gurugram. This full-time, on-site role requires comprehensive legal support, focusing on drafting and managing domestic and international commercial contracts, and overseeing compliance programs.

Responsibilities

Provide end-to-end legal support to the business.
Draft and manage domestic and international commercial contracts (vendor, customer, procurement, service agreements).
Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle using CLM tools.
Ensure contracts align with internal risk management policies and applicable laws.
Localize and implement global policies (ABAC, Competition Law, Data Protection, GDPR, FCRA, DPA, DPDPA, Code of Conduct).
Provide advisory and training on policy compliance.
Manage national and international compliance obligations via designated tools.
Identify potential compliance risks.
Partner with Finance, HR, and Operations to integrate legal and compliance standards.
Support internal and external audits.
Conduct internal periodic audits.
Manage cross-border contracts, ensuring compliance with international laws and risk allocation.
Handle NDAs, amendments, addendums, and termination agreements.
Manage the severity of adverse findings in BGV reports.

Requirements

LLB / LLM from a recognized university in India or abroad.
8-10 years of post-qualification experience in a corporate legal function or reputed law firm.
Strong exposure to international contract drafting.
Hands-on experience managing contracts with foreign clients, vendors, or partners.

Desired Qualifications

Enrolment with a State Bar Council in India (preferred).
Exposure to multiple jurisdictions (US, UK, EU, APAC, Middle East) is an advantage.
