Alfa Laval is seeking an Assembler I in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. This full-time, on-site position involves assembling products using hand and power tools, reading blueprints, and performing various production tasks. A high school diploma and basic math skills are required, with manufacturing experience being a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assemble products by positioning and installing components and subassemblies.
- Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to prepare work.
- Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Examine connections for correct fit and fasten parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools.
- Verify specifications by measuring completed cooler components.
- Assist Team Leader or Manager with training new employees.
- Perform tube installation and rolling operations.
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Provide needed material(s) to various workstations and/or locations.
- Load and unload trucks, units, and parts.
- Operate cut saws, drill presses, and punch press to fabricate parts and subassemblies.
- Use precision measuring devices to check quality of work.
- Safely rig structure and material for movement by overhead crane.
- Maintain a clean work area.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow blueprints, safety instructions, hazard communications, and emergency procedures.
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of professional experience related to manufacturing preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints preferred.
- Experience using industrial machines preferred.
- Forklift operation certification preferred.
- Overhead crane experience preferred.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following equipment: radial drills, fin tube machinery, large vertical band saw, presses, breaks and shears.
