We are seeking an Assembler I for the 2nd shift in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In this role, you will assemble products by positioning and installing components using hand and power tools, following blueprints and instructions. This full-time, on-site position requires basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure and calipers, with manufacturing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assemble products by positioning and installing components and subassemblies according to drawings and instructions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions, and test equipment to assemble coolers.
- Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Examine connections for correct fit and fasten parts and subassemblies.
- Perform tube installation and rolling operations.
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Provide needed materials to workstations and load/unload trucks.
- Operate cut saws, drill presses, and punch presses to fabricate parts and subassemblies.
- Use precision measuring devices to check quality of work.
- Safely rig structure and material for movement by overhead crane.
- Maintain a clean work area during and at the end of each work shift.
- Prioritize safety by adhering to company policies and promoting safe practices.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 year of professional experience related to manufacturing preferred.
- Basic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure and callipers required.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints preferred.
- Experience using industrial machines preferred.
- Forklift operation certification preferred.
- Overhead crane experience preferred.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following equipment: radial drills, fin tube machinery, large vertical band saw, presses, breaks and shears.
- Ability to regularly exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and 30 lbs of force frequently.
- Stands or walks 80% of the workday.
- Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
- Ability to lift raw materials, assemblies, and equipment manually up to 50 lbs.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment: steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
