Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of Team Leads, coaching and mentoring them to meet performance objectives.
- Drive creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, and process change initiatives.
- Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Team Leads accountable.
- Ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and the network.
- Collaborate with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, IT) to secure resources for initiatives.
- Address operational and personnel issues affecting the functional area.
- Surface issues with potential to affect multiple functional areas to senior management.
- Review work forecasts to determine productivity requirements and meet building objectives.
- Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor for an efficient shift.
- Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance.
- Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
Requirements
- 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
