In short

As a member of the CMT team, you will research and develop solutions for complex challenges in machine learning, large language models, and recommender systems. You will collaborate with engineers, experiment with new approaches, and contribute to the future roadmap of science within CMT, impacting customer experience on a global scale.

Responsibilities

  • Research the problem domain and come up with various approaches to solve the problem.
  • Experiment quickly and fail fast.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design end-to-end solutions for business problems.
  • Ideate on the future roadmap for science in CMT.
  • Learn core topics outside applied science, such as ML engineering.
  • Work on improving models for product similarity or price recommendations.
  • Work closely with other scientists and ML engineers to deploy models into production.
  • Write maintainable, reusable, and reproducible code.
  • Share work across CMT and beyond through technical writings and presentations.

Requirements

  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
  • Experience with SQL and an RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) or Data Warehouse.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience implementing algorithms using both toolkits and self-developed code.
