Responsibilities
- Partner with sales teams during the technical sales cycle, delivering demonstrations, proof-of-concept work, and technical presentations.
- Act as the senior technical advisor and primary contact for customers implementing materials data management platforms.
- Lead workshops and technical sessions with engineering, IT, and product development teams to map materials data workflows, identify gaps, and design scalable solutions.
- Translate complex data governance and integration challenges into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for Material Information Management within customer engagements and internal initiatives.
- Collaborate with product management and development teams to influence roadmap priorities, interoperability features, and usability improvements.
- Mentor application engineers and contribute to internal best practices, knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, engineering software, technical consulting, or customer-facing technical roles.
- Strong understanding of product development processes and how engineering data flows across the lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with Material Information Management or enterprise materials data management platforms.
- Working knowledge of database systems, data modelling concepts, and API-based integrations.
- Experience with engineering data management, PLM integration, or digital engineering workflows.
- Professional proficiency in English and French/German.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAE, PLM, or materials data management platforms is a plus.
- Exposure to agile or iterative project delivery methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to sit in a technical workshop with a simulation engineer and an IT architect, understand both perspectives, and find the integration path.
- Ability to explain complex data governance trade offs to a VP in two sentences.
- Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and internal projects at once.
- Curiosity and forward-thinking, always asking how a solution could scale, what could break, and what the customer will need six months from now.
- Natural ability to mentor colleagues, sharing learned information and elevating team capability.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to move forward with incomplete information.
