Responsibilities

  • Develop opportunities to meet sales growth goals and provide application solutions.
  • Assist customers to recognize the value of utilizing Sandvik’s crushing and screening tools and technology in large-scale mining operations.
  • Provide technical knowledge, advice, and support internally and externally to resolve requests regarding crushing and screening product and application issues.
  • Provide technical presentations and field sales support, including providing leads, assistance on sales calls, and providing competitive intelligence.
  • Organize product and application training for sales and application personnel.
  • Create business development plans and targets for the crushing and screening product range.
  • Conduct crushing and screening site audits, including modeling and projections.
  • Provide estimated equipment performance metrics for proposals.
  • Provide input into strategic plans for the continued expansion of the crushing and screening product line.
  • Coordinate data from the market for analysis, research, and design engineering.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of plans and actions in accordance with global and regional initiatives and guidelines.
  • Draft quotations for crushing and screening equipment and analyzing profitability of new projects.
  • Provide training and education on the product range, assisting with the compilation of tender documentation, pricing strategies, and the supply of marketing material.
  • Ensure product performance levels and specifications meet customer requirements.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on crushing and screening applications and equipment performance projections.
  • Assist factories with field-testing and trials of new products and updated components.
  • Monitor test results for new products to implement improvement of the product.
  • Coordinate promotional and marketing material in conjunction with marketing department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field
  • Three (3) years of experience as Application Specialist, Application Analyst, Application Engineer, or Sales Engineer in the mining industry.
  • Three (3) years of experience providing technical sales and developing technical solutions for crushing and screening equipment products.
  • Experience in the selection and recommendation of crushing and screening products for mining operations.
  • Experience drafting quotations for large mining projects through engineering, procurement, and construction management companies.
  • Up to 30% domestic travel required.
  • Up to 20% international travel required to Canada to visit customer sites.
