The M365 L2 Engineer is a senior-level role responsible for managing and maintaining the Microsoft 365 environment. This role provides expert technical support, administration, and optimization of M365 services, ensuring seamless communication and productivity. The engineer will collaborate with IT teams and end-users to deliver reliable M365 services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and Power Automate.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution for complex M365 incidents.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and resource utilization of M365 services.
  • Implement security best practices, data protection, and compliance policies.
  • Plan and execute M365 migration projects and upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of M365 configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on M365 applications.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft support and vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts for M365 environment.
  • Generate reports on M365 service performance, availability, and utilization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Microsoft 365 certifications (e.g., Enterprise Administrator Expert, Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).
  • Proven experience as a senior-level engineer/administrator managing complex M365 environments.
  • Strong understanding of M365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of M365 security practices, compliance, and data protection.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience with project management for migration and upgrade projects.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices.
