Vattenfall seeks a motivated Working Student for their Compliance & Operational Risk Management team in Hamburg. This temporary, part-time role involves updating process descriptions, supporting trade surveillance systems, and analyzing information to improve compliance processes within energy trading.

Responsibilities

  • Review and update existing process descriptions, work instructions, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current ways of working and ensure documentation is clear, consistent, and user-friendly.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities in existing documentation, process flows, and systems.
  • Support the improvement of procedures and systems used for trade surveillance.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Law, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge about laws and regulations in trading compliance.
  • Strong interest in Commodity/energy trading, including understanding of price formation, trading products, Exchange rules, and general business processes.
  • Ability to analyze information, understand processes, and turn complex topics into clear, practical documentation.
  • Sound statistical knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and with a high level of integrity.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Desired Qualifications

  • Enjoy understanding how processes work, asking the right questions, and turning complex information into clear and practical documentation.
  • Appreciate being part of a supportive team and feel comfortable collaborating with different stakeholders.
  • Ideally initial experience with data visualization (PowerBI).
  • Handle sensitive data with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Hybrid working with regular office presence.
  • Duration: 4-6 months.
