Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is looking for a full-time Warehouse Worker for their Pinkenba, Brisbane branch. The role involves providing warehouse and distribution services, managing spare parts, and assisting with inventory control. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in a relevant environment and a current Forklift license.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with management, suppliers and customers regarding stores operations.
- Perform weighing, shipping, receiving, and delivery functions.
- Receive, receipt, pick, pack and dispatch spare parts and materials.
- Conduct project work.
- Assist with inventory control.
- Prepare shipping documentation.
- Enter data into Sandvik IT systems.
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct stock cycle counting and full stock takes.
- Implement quality control techniques and procedures.
- Maintain general warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' warehouse/stores experience in a Heavy Mining or Equipment Manufacturing environment.
- Current Forklift license is essential.
- Comfortable with new systems and processes and adaptable to learning environments.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfortable with implementing and driving OH&S policies and procedures.
- Drive, flexibility, high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Ability to collaborate and work with members of the wider team.
- Experienced with flexible shift work and rosters.
- Right to live and work in Australia.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical.
