This full-time, on-site 1st shift Warehouse Worker position in Richmond focuses on Inventory Control. Responsibilities include cycle counting, location auditing, inventory transaction entry, and discrepancy investigation. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience, with forklift operation and ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete cycle counting, location auditing, and pre-production verification activities using Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform scheduled and ad hoc cycle counts, recounts, physical verifications, and location audits accurately and on time.
  • Enter and validate count results, approved adjustments, transfers, and inventory status changes in D365 or other assigned systems.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies through system transactions, license plates, material locations, and physical verification; document and escalate findings.
  • Coordinate with Material Handling and Production to resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct pre-production audits to verify part number, quantity, location, condition, and identification.
  • Identify, label, and segregate damaged, nonconforming, or questionable material.
  • Report inventory, safety, quality, parts, or equipment deviations immediately and communicate findings.
  • Review inventory control processes and recommend practical improvements.
  • Safely operate forklifts, order pickers, and manlifts.
  • Maintain compliance with all Alfa Laval policies and procedures.
  • Engage in daily and weekly 5S routines.
  • Use downtime to learn new processes, complete Status Board activities, and cross train.
  • Support problem resolution by providing accurate inventory information and following approved corrective actions.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or manufacturing.
  • Basic desktop computer and handheld scanner skills required.
  • Basic math skills required, including the ability to read a tape measure.
  • Full compliance with all Alfa Laval policies and procedures is required.
  • Accurate & Consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, Gloves, Uniform others as required by the specific process).

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with cycle counting, inventory transactions, and operating forklifts or other material handling equipment preferred.
  • Forklift and order picker operation certification preferred.
  • ERP experience, preferably Microsoft D365, is preferred.
  • Prior manufacturing and inventory control experience preferred.
