We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to support inbound and outbound material handling, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and adherence to safety standards. The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 2-3 years in warehouse operations, and familiarity with warehouse processes and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Unload and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, verifying quantities against purchase orders.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to move goods to designated storage areas.
- Document received goods and maintain accurate system records.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or quality concerns.
- Pick materials accurately based on order requirements and prepare shipments.
- Pack, label, mark, and stencil outbound shipments in accordance with standards.
- Operate equipment to load materials securely onto transport vehicles.
- Perform material segregation for internal and third-party inspections.
- Participate in warehouse housekeeping, cleanup, and reorganization initiatives.
- Conduct safety audits for racks and warehouse equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Emerson’s ethical standards and trade compliance policies.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in business, engineering, logistics, or supply chain.
- 2–3 years of experience in warehouse operations or material handling.
- Familiarity with warehouse processes, inventory control, and documentation practices.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in supply chain management or a related discipline.
- Valid forklift operating certification and hands-on experience.
- Demonstrated ability to improve warehouse workflows and operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices in a warehouse setting.
