Alstom seeks a full-time V&V Designer in Bangalore to ensure the safety and reliability of embedded railway solutions through high-quality validation campaigns. You will design and execute test plans, work with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of advanced railway technology.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans, test architecture, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform functional testing at subsystem and system levels.
- Investigate and resolve defects detected during testing.
- Specify, design, and validate test environments and tools.
- Ensure test traceability and compliance with software, V&V, and safety processes.
- Contribute to workload estimation and scheduling.
- Manage V&V work products under configuration management.
- Collaborate with global teams and adapt to different geographical contexts.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in complex software/systems testing.
- Experience in automation testing using Python and Robot Framework.
- Familiarity with tools like ClearQuest, Git, Rectify, and DOORS.
- Understanding of standards such as CENELEC SIL4 or DO-178B.
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python.
- Experience in requirement/functional-based testing on host and target-based environments.
- Experience in testing safety-critical systems.
- Knowledge of microservices testing, including performance and robustness testing.
- Experience in working in an international and multicultural environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Railway systems knowledge and transport domain knowledge (preferred).
