This role leads enterprise backup operations focusing on Symantec NetBackup, Backup Exec, and EMC Data Domain for operational excellence and service reliability. The Track Manager will drive continuous improvement, mentor teams, ensure SLA adherence, and implement innovative data protection solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead operations management for Symantec NetBackup and Backup Exec deployments, ensuring efficient backup, restore, and disaster recovery.
Utilize EMC Data Domain systems for data deduplication and retention strategies, optimizing performance and storage efficiency.
Drive continuous service improvement by analyzing metrics and implementing enhancements with Symantec and EMC tools.
Mentor support teams in troubleshooting advanced Symantec backup issues, promoting knowledge sharing.
Ensure adherence to client SLAs by monitoring backup jobs, resolving incidents, and communicating with stakeholders.
Evaluate and implement new Symantec and EMC product features or patches to strengthen data protection.
Develop and maintain documentation for backup policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

Excellent Knowledge Of Emc Data Domain Systems, Including Integration With Symantec Backup Solutions For Optimized Data Deduplication And Retention Management.
Advanced Proficiency In Backup Automation, Reporting, And Monitoring Tools Relevant To Symantec And Emc Environments.
Excellent Analytical And ProblemSolving Skills For Diagnosing Complex Backup Failures And System Performance Issues.
Strong Capability In Leading Teams, Providing Technical Mentorship, And Driving Operational Improvements In LargeScale Backup Environments.
Solid Understanding Of Itil Processes, Incident Management, And Compliance Standards Related To Data Protection.

Desired Qualifications

Symantec Certified Specialist (SCS) – NetBackup or Backup Exec (optional but valuable)
EMC Data Domain Specialist certification (optional but valuable)
