Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, robust data architectures and stable ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into precise technical specifications.
  • Use software engineering methods to solve infrastructure and operations problems.
  • Build stable, automated, and repeatable deployment pipelines.
  • Establish monitoring and testing standards, and guarantee data quality.
  • Lead a small development team, structure and prioritize the backlog, and drive sprint planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Multi-year track record in data engineering, ideally combined with software quality management or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Strong proficiency in modern data technologies (e.g., Python, SQL, Spark).
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience in requirements engineering and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Experience leading developer teams and managing backlogs (e.g., in Jira or Azure DevOps).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Solution-oriented mindset.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAP Material Master Data as well as EHS data model is advantageous.
