Responsibilities
- Serve as the team's technical lead for ABB Automation Software and Hardware solutions, advising customers on system architecture, upgrades, licensing, and modernization.
- Utilize ABB tools (CPQ, SoFa, BOL) to configure and quote automation hardware, software upgrades, and modernization solutions.
- Provide first-line technical support for customers, diagnosing issues, delivering solutions, and escalating complex cases.
- Manage repair and warranty replacement requests.
- Contribute to proactive DCS sales initiatives by preparing Spare Parts Analysis and Lifecycle Reports.
- Support the team in responding to spare parts inquiries and quotations across additional product portfolios.
- Manage the complete RFQ lifecycle, ensuring compliance with PA margin requirements and company guidelines.
- Secure customer purchase orders, coordinate handover to the delivery team, and maintain records in Salesforce.com.
Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent proven technical experience, ideally with exposure to automation systems, control architecture, or industrial equipment.
- Strong written and verbal English language skills.
- Excellent customer service instincts and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Self-motivated and willing to transition from site-based work to an office technical role.
- Willingness to learn ABB's commercial processes and systems.
- Good proficiency with Salesforce.com and MS-Office packages (Excel, Word, Office 365).
- Ability to rapidly respond to unforeseen developments and take ownership of solutions.
- Understanding of commercial terms and company policies.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
