Technical Lead

Job Summary

• 5-9  years of Experience in AS400 (RPG400/RPGLE/SQL/DB2400) development on enterprise level applications
• Expertise with ILE Concepts/Implementer, service programs, commitment control, journaling, interactive & batch debugging
• Excellent knowledge of ways of working in Agile/Jira domain
• Prior experience working with a Support & development team is must
• Must have experience working in onshore/offshore delivery model, single point of contact for iSeries development team
• Ability to develop functional requirements and technical design documents
• Review code based on technical specifications and mentor, guide fellow team members
• Should be able to independently develop/analyze the program execute units and provide solutions.
• Ability to provide effort estimations and experience working in a team environment within an agile development process
• Proven experience in driving UATs singlehandedly with business users
• Troubleshoot code for team members and provide support to team.
• Mentor and train team on new requirements, design sessions, bottleneck and roadblocks
• Ability to follow coding and development standards and produce structured code and documentation
• Ability to relate well with business users and work with cross functional teams
• Attention to detail is essential and all tasks must be carried out to the highest standard.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment against tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter that will take ownership of assignments and drive to completion with minimal supervision
• Good oral and written communication skills along with excellent interpersonal skills
• Interest in new technologies and willingness to learn and work in support project
• Willing to work in afternoon shifts IST and going beyond, weekend on call/night support, etc. based on the criticality and business urgency.
