As a Tax Analyst in Bangalore, you will be responsible for Indirect Tax Compliance and Accounting, including preparation and filing of various GST returns, managing tax refunds, and responding to tax notices. This role requires at least 10-12 years of experience in taxation and finance, preferably in a multinational organization.
Responsibilities
- Preparation, review, and filing of all returns – GSTR1, 3B, 6 and ITC-04 Job Work, STPI working & filing
- Annual Filing - GSTR-9 & GSTR-9C
- Review, follow-up and reconciliations of IMS and GSTR2B
- Managing GST (Exports, IDS) and Customs refund, including preparation, submission, and follow-up
- Review and preparation of responses to Customs & GST notices, SCNs and appeals, including attending Personal Hearings up to OIO level
- GST Monthly Payment (all states) for RCM and regular if any & TDS including salary along with utilization
- TDS and Balance with Government Authorities GST and refunds reconciliations & schedules preparation
- Generation of Duty Drawback and RoDTEP incentives/scrips, coordination with CHA for Utilization and tracking of unutilized credits
- Supporting all Audits: Tax audit, Stat audit, GST department audit
- Support in Special valuation branch (SVB), Premises based audit (PBA), Authorized economic operator (AEO)
- Tax GL reconciliations on Blackline
- Yearly renewals of licenses and activities, including IEC renewal before 30th June
- Sales invoice no series for all the feeder systems
- Non-STP Payment before filing of April month return
Requirements
- BCOM / MCOM degree
- At least 10-12 years of work experience in Taxation and finance function
- Preferably experience in a Multinational organization
- Firsthand experience in leading tax, finance, and accounting processes
- In-depth knowledge of all areas of finance including tax accounting, compliance, and audit
- Good understanding of business operations, preferably from related industry/manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated a growth and learning mindset
