Qualcomm is searching for an experienced Senior Staff Systems Engineer to lead innovation in optimizing power for Snapdragon chipsets. This role involves guiding cross-functional teams to model and enhance hardware and software for world-class low power consumption throughout the design cycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams to model and optimize SOC/chipset power.
- Develop innovative hardware and software solutions for low power consumption.
- Perform power architecture and tradeoff analysis.
- Conduct chipset and system level power modeling, analysis, and optimization.
- Identify power requirements and quantify power gap/risk areas.
- Optimize power efficiency and performance of current designs and architect future products.
- Guide multi-function groups through the design cycle to meet power targets.
- Design power features and collaborate with systems, software, hardware, silicon process, and production test teams.
- Interact with customers to showcase chipset capabilities and understand power requirements.
- Perform power modeling of customer-specific use cases and designs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
- 15 years of professional experience in analysis and design of low power features at SOC, chipset or platform level.
- Architectural knowledge in application processor, modem processor, AR/VR, machine learning, IOT, automotive or computing.
- Experience in hardware or software design or optimizations of low power features.
- Experience with system level power modeling and analysis.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer, Lead Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or Engineering Manager.
