As a Supply Chain Manager at the Relay Operation Centre (ROC), you will facilitate information flow and resolve issues impacting Amazon's transportation network across multiple geographies. Your role involves tactical problem-solving, understanding network trends, and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Operation, Tech/Integration, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers).
- Pull data from databases (Excel, Access, SQL) and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.
- Develop and understand performance metrics to drive business results.
- Scoping business and functional requirements for Amazon technology teams.
- Identify business impact of trends and make data-backed decisions.
- Escalate problems or variances and follow through on resolutions.
Requirements
- 2+ years of program or project management experience.
- 1+ years of supply chain experience.
- Experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service, or strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
- Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
- Experience with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/related discipline with 2-4 years of work experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology.
- Experience in MS Access and SQL.
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement documents.
- Master's degree or above in a relevant field of operations.
- Knowledge of analytics & statistical tools such as SAS, PowerBI, SQL & ETL DW concepts.
- Logistics/transportation background and lean/six sigma training is a plus.
