Responsibilities
- Interact with Project Sponsors, other Technical Product/Program Managers, and multiple development teams to define and deliver complex cross-functional projects.
- Drive large scale projects spanning teams across Amazon from inception to conclusion, formulate product vision and strategy, define user stories, and research appropriate technical solutions.
- Clearly communicate vision, plans, and project status to management and key technical and business stakeholders.
- Work closely with the software development team on delivering high-quality solutions, and provide guidance regarding architecture, design, and priorities.
- Engage with other teams across Amazon to evangelize the team and projects, build relationships, and help identify existing technologies that can be leveraged.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, provide escalation management, and anticipate and make trade-offs balancing business needs versus constraints.
- Create, maintain, and disseminate project information to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
