Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for customer RFQs and new project requests.
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into StandardPlus proposals with accurate costings.
- Evaluate customer RFQ specifications and align them with the company's product portfolio.
- Collaborate with the team to assess project feasibility and gain internal departmental agreement.
- Provide technically sound and commercially viable quotations adhering to company processes.
- Perform pre-calculations, selection, and sizing of equipment for compressed air systems.
- Work with Sales/Customer Centre teams to select equipment and design compressed air systems.
- Estimate delivery lead times by coordinating with the factory and suppliers.
- Prepare self-explanatory technical sheets for projects.
- Lead, organize, and coordinate proposal work across different phases.
- Manage multiple proposal requests from various customers and sales teams.
- Balance cost pressure from customers with internal execution capabilities in competitive situations.
- Prepare RFQs for bought-out items and evaluate sub-vendor offers.
- Maintain an overview of current quotations, monitor their status, and manage project proposal files.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering/Technology (Mechanical / Electrical or Instrumentation).
- 3 to 7 years of experience in Proposal engineering, preferably in Rotating Machinery Background.
- Sound knowledge of Screw & centrifugal compressors.
- Ability to read and understand P&ID, GA, Layouts, Installation, and System architect drawings.
- Sound knowledge of Electrical Equipment drawings and Instrumentation & Control drawings/documents.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Good command (Verbal & Written) of English is a must.
- Willingness to travel within the region and internationally.
