As a Sr. Manager, Software Development for Alexa International, you will lead a team of software engineers to deliver Alexa+ to millions of international customers in their languages and countries. You will drive innovation, own your team's roadmap, and ensure engineering best practices for highly-available and scalable software. This role involves collaborating with PMTs, TPMs, and Principal Engineers, building talent, and focusing on customer experience and delighting customers with scalable, state-of-the-art agentic solutions.

Responsibilities

Drive innovation to make Alexa+ Architecture truly global.
Lead a team of software engineers, collaborating closely with PMTs, TPMs, and Principal engineers.
Build and develop talent and teams.
Set the vision for scalable, state-of-the-art agentic solutions.
Own your team, your roadmap, and the end-to-end customer experience.
Drive engineering and operational excellence.
Build delightful products for customers.
Partner with business stakeholders to earn their trust.
Work directly with customers and constantly innovate on their behalf.
Ensure engineering best practices are followed.
Design software for high-availability, dynamic scalability, and resilience.
Drive architectural and design choices and invent new features.
Encourage innovation and take high ownership for product vision, technical architecture, and project delivery.

Requirements

10+ years of engineering experience
5+ years of engineering team management experience
10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment

Desired Qualifications
