Highly skilled Senior Staff Sourcing Specialist with an engineering background in the semiconductor industry, focusing on packaging, assembly, and contract manufacturing. This role involves managing RFQ processes, supplier relationships, cost analysis, and driving cost-reduction initiatives to optimize total cost of ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Align RFQ submissions with long-term sourcing strategies for semiconductor assembly, bump, substrates, and passive components.
  • Lead end-to-end RFQ/RFI/RFP processes, including supplier engagement, and deep dive quote analysis.
  • Manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvements in technology alignment, cost, quality, and capacity.
  • Partner with package engineering, program management, and NPI teams to influence design and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives and supplier negotiations.
  • Perform industry benchmarking and competitive analysis to build strategic supplier relationships.
  • Perform detailed cost analysis and should-cost modeling to support sourcing decisions.
  • Develop tools (Excel / Scripts / Macros) to automate data extraction and standardize calculations.
  • Ensure RFQ quote analysis is performed using validated data sources by leveraging expertise in enterprise systems such as Oracle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.
  • Associate's degree and 7+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 9+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.
  • Experience with engineering background in the semiconductor industry, particularly in packaging, assembly, and contract manufacturing.
  • Experience working with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.

Desired Qualifications

  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
