You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality software baselines that meet our Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Train Control Engineers, Verification & Validation Leaders, and Sub-System Engineers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination, while also managing software development work packages and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of integrating software modules within the Train Control and Monitoring System (TCMS) subsystem, but also manage configuration and ensure compliance with release notes and software reference versions.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Delivering Train Software modules and ensuring their integration according to Engineering Work Packages.

  • Deploying and applying Train Control & Information Solutions development procedures, processes, and design rules.

  • Ensuring proper management and traceability of hardware and software configurations.

  • Maintaining and controlling project KPIs and reporting to the Software Domain Leader.

  • Validating software to ensure quality and performance.

  • Monitoring, controlling, and consolidating software development work packages, including risk assessment and mitigation planning.

  • Collaborating with sub-contractors and ensuring their deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.

  • Sharing Return on Experience (RoE) and proposing process improvements.

  • Contributing to the generation of Quality Plans and participating in Change Control Board (CCB) meetings.

  • Proven leadership experience in managing complete product life cycles for at least three projects (minimum of 7 years).

  • Proficiency in IEC61131-3 (FBD, ST, SFC) software or model-based development tools like ControlBuild, MATLAB/Simulink.

  • Familiarity with real-time, distributed controllers and real-time network protocols (e.g., MVB, CIP, Ethernet, CAN, RS232, RS485).

  • Experience managing work packages for sub-contractors.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
