Responsibilities
- Independently applies AI tools and modern engineering practices across the software development lifecycle to improve productivity, quality, and engineering effectiveness.
- Leads architectural discussions, evaluates and tests design hypotheses, and develops detailed specifications for complex solutions.
- Independently develops comprehensive test strategies that ensure solution quality, reliability, and correctness.
- Reviews product code to ensure sufficient test coverage, engineering quality, and adherence to established coding and design standards.
- Collaborates effectively across internal and external teams to identify dependencies, resolve technical issues, and drive alignment toward shared goals.
- Writes extensible, maintainable, well-tested, secure, and performant production quality code.
- Uses debugging, diagnostic, and engineering tools to validate assumptions, identify root causes, and continuously improve code and system quality.
- Implements security standards and drives security hardening across solutions, ensuring defense in depth and appropriate security at every layer.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Rust or Python
- OR equivalent experience
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Rust or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Rust or Python
- OR equivalent experience
- Experience working on DPU is a plus.
