As a Software Engineer II in M365 Core, you will design, build, and operate secure identity and access management platforms for large-scale cloud infrastructure. This role involves end-to-end delivery of distributed systems, leveraging an AI-first approach, and collaborating across teams to ensure operational excellence and continuous security innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to determine user requirements and incorporate feedback into future designs.
  • Lead discussions on product design, create code plans, and propose design solutions.
  • Mentor team members in developing design documents and User Stories.
  • Lead by example in developing high-quality, reliable code meeting Microsoft's standards.
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews, enforcing coding standards.
  • Communicate effectively with partners across Microsoft engineering teams.
  • Deploy solutions in appropriate environments, ensuring correct measures are in place.
  • Lead by example in leveraging AI in all aspects of software development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • OR equivalent experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, Java or similar OOP languages.
  • Experience in handling large and geo-distributed software engineering projects.
  • Experience building, delivering, and operating reliable, highly available services at scale.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, coding and debugging skills.
  • Prior experience with cloud infrastructure, leveraging the latest advancements in AI.
  • Demonstrated capability in mentoring team members.
  • Experience in collaborating with global stakeholders and partners.
